Today kicks off Global Entrepreneurship Week, one week a year where young people around the world join in a movement of entrepreneurial people to generate new ideas and see better ways of doing things. The goal is to help connect and inspire us Gen-Y‘s across the globe to embrace innovation, imagination, and creativity.
All over the world partner orgs will be holding a ton of activities designed to inspire, connect, mentor & engage young people, to help us gain the knowledge, skills, networks and values needed to grow innovative & sustainable enterprises.
So, what local events are going on this week around MSU?
Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour
Coming to East Lansing this Wednesday.
The nation-wide tour is bringing some of the best, biggest, brightest, and most successful entrepreneurs from across the country to talk to you about how you can achieve your goals & get paid to do what you ♥.
A panel of local entrepreneurs will also be on hand speaking and interacting with the audience to discuss the opportunities that are right here in East Lansing & the Greater Lansing region.
Have an Idea?
LEAP (Lansing Area Economic Partnership) will be sponsoring the “Next Bright Idea” video booth, where you will be able to do a 20 second idea pitch. By participating, you’ll automatically receive a free t-shirt, be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift certificate to a local business, and have the chance to win $5,000 – not quite chump change!
Don’t consider yourself and entrepreneur? It’s cool, still come out & see what it’s all about…you might be surprised.
RSVP for the event here: http://www.journeypage.com/events/greaterlansing & on Facebook.
I know I’ll be there & I hope to see you there!
